He is the founder of Global Open Education, founder and Principal Investigator of The Freedom of Thought, Executive Director of the Organization for Social Orientation, and Executive Editor of Bangladesh Polity.

Research agenda

The central question running through this work is simple and unresolved: what makes thinking possible? The research approaches it from three sides — the epistemic conditions of independent judgement, the institutions that sustain or suppress them, and the civilizational consequences of either outcome.
